Indonesia’s Deputy Minister of Trade and Ambassador Salem Balfakeeh Discuss Strengthening Trade and Economic Cooperation

His Excellency Ambassador Salem Ahmed Balfakeeh held talks on Tuesday, 27 January 2026, with Ms. Dyah Roro Esti Widya Putri, Indonesia’s Deputy Minister of Trade, on ways to strengthen trade and economic cooperation between the two brotherly countries. The meeting was held at the headquarters of the Indonesian Ministry of Trade. The meeting addressed ways to promote bilateral trade through the reactivation of the Joint Committee, as well as opportunities for cooperation in a number of priority sectors. For her part, Indonesia’s Deputy Minister of Trade affirmed her country’s interest in strengthening trade cooperation with Yemen and expanding coordination in areas of mutual interest.
