Ambassador Salem Balfakeeh and Indonesian Foreign Ministry Discuss Expanding Bilateral Cooperation

His Excellency Ambassador Salem Ahmed Balfakeeh, Ambassador of the Republic of Yemen to the Republic of Indonesia, met with His Excellency Ambassador Santo Darmosumarto, Director General for Asia-Pacific and African Affairs at the Indonesian Ministry of Foreign Affairs. The two sides discussed ways to strengthen bilateral relations and activate cooperation in the areas of political consultations, higher education, culture and halal certification, as well as the reactivation of the Yemen–Indonesia Joint Committee. The meeting also addressed humanitarian and development cooperation and the proposal to open a Consulate General of the Republic of Indonesia in Yemen’s interim capital, Aden. Both sides reaffirmed their commitment to maintaining coordination and further strengthening relations between the two friendly countries.
