Ambassador Balfakeeh Receives Rector of Universitas Islam Internasional Indonesia

H.E. Ambassador Salem Ahmed Balfakeeh received Prof. Jamhari Makruf, Rector of Universitas Islam Internasional Indonesia (UIII), and his accompanying delegation at the Embassy in Jakarta on Monday, 14 September 2026. The meeting discussed ways to strengthen academic and educational cooperation, expand scholarship opportunities for Yemeni students, and promote academic exchange and capacity-building programs. The two sides also discussed continued coordination on the draft agreements proposed by the Indonesian side with a view to their signing, and exchanged views on the latest developments in Yemen. Both sides underscored the importance of maintaining coordination to strengthen academic partnerships and broaden educational and cultural cooperation between Yemen and Indonesia.
