Ambassador Balfakeeh Participates in Preparatory Meeting for the 2026 International Conference of Grand Imams

H.E. Ambassador Salem Ahmed Balfakeeh participated on Friday, 25 September 2026, in a meeting of ambassadors held at Istiqlal Mosque in Jakarta as part of the ongoing preparations for the 2026 International Conference of Grand Imams, organized in cooperation with the Indonesian Ministry of Religious Affairs and a number of relevant institutions and organizations. The meeting was attended by the Minister of Religious Affairs and Grand Imam of Istiqlal Mosque, Prof. Nasaruddin Umar, Indonesian Deputy Foreign Minister Anis Matta, representatives of a number of diplomatic missions, as well as senior imams and religious leaders participating in the conference from various countries around the world. The meeting reviewed the conference’s arrangements, objectives, and main themes, particularly those related to strengthening the role of imams in cultural and religious diplomacy, promoting the values of peace and tolerance, and enhancing communication and coordination among representatives of participating countries and institutions.
