Ambassador Balfakeeh Participates in “Malam Peradaban” Marking the Centennial of Pondok Modern Darussalam Gontor for Modern Islamic Education

H.E. Ambassador Salem Ahmed Balfakeeh participated on Sunday, 6 September 2026, in the “Malam Peradaban” (Night of Civilization) event, held at Nusantara IV Hall in the DPR/MPR complex in Jakarta, on the occasion of the centennial of Pondok Modern Darussalam Gontor for Modern Islamic Education. The event was attended by Dr. Muhammad Hidayat Nur Wahid, Deputy Speaker of the People’s Consultative Assembly of the Republic of Indonesia and Chairman of the Supreme Council of Pondok Modern Darussalam Gontor, alongside a number of Indonesian officials and prominent figures, religious and academic leaders, representatives of educational and Islamic institutions, as well as ambassadors and members of the diplomatic corps accredited to the Republic of Indonesia. The Ambassador’s participation reflects the Embassy’s commitment to strengthening engagement with Indonesian educational and religious institutions and to expanding cultural and educational cooperation and exchanges between Yemen and Indonesia.
