Ambassador Balfakeeh Meets Indonesia’s Chief of State Protocol and Discusses Strengthening Bilateral Cooperation

H.E. Ambassador Salem Ahmed Balfakeeh met on Tuesday, 1 September 2026, at the Indonesian Ministry of Foreign Affairs, with Ambassador Saud Purwanto Krisnawan, Director General for Protocol and Consular Affairs and Chief of State Protocol. During the meeting, the two sides discussed bilateral relations and ways to further strengthen them, as well as developments in Yemen and the region. They also reviewed areas of coordination between the Embassy and the Indonesian Ministry of Foreign Affairs, with a view to addressing issues concerning Yemeni nationals and safeguarding their interests. Ambassador Balfakeeh also outlined the efforts of the Government of Yemen to promote security and stability and support the country’s economic recovery. Ambassador Balfakeeh congratulated Ambassador Krisnawan on assuming his new responsibilities, wishing him every success and expressing his hope for the continued development and growth of Yemen-Indonesia relations.
